How we apply a ceramic coating
Check the paint
We look for swirls, haze, water spots and rough spots. That decides the prep and the price.
Prep the surface
A hand wash, then an iron remover and clay bar where the paint feels rough after washing.
Polish if needed
A coating locks in what is under it, so swirls and haze get machine polished first. We test a spot before the full job.
Coat by hand
We apply the coating by hand and walk you through the care steps.
Ceramic coating vs wax and spray sealant
A wax or a spray sealant is a short coat that wears off. Our Premium Detail leaves a ceramic spray sealant that lasts up to 3 months. A ceramic coating is a longer layer of protection that makes washing easier. How long any coating lasts depends on the coating and on how the car is washed.
Water spots from sprinklers or hard water should come off before coating, or they get sealed in. Our water spot removal is $149.99, and spots etched into the paint may need paint correction first. We do not do window tint or paint protection film.
