Sand when needed
A badly yellowed lens gets sanded to take off the damaged outer layer.
Machine polish
We polish the lens until it is clear again.
Seal it
A UV protective coat goes on last to help it stay clear.
Restore or replace your headlights?
Most headlight lenses are plastic. Over time the outer layer turns cloudy or yellow, and the light coming through gets weaker. When the damage is on the surface, restoring the lens is a lot cheaper than a new headlight.
A cracked or damaged lens is different. Polishing cannot fix a crack, so that lens may need to be replaced. Store kits can help a light haze, but a lens that is sanded and not sealed can turn yellow again, which is why we finish with a UV coat.
